A doctor in the family, his parents were so proud. In March of 2005 Brian had been out of college for 10 months, but was still bartending because he was terrified of getting into the medical field after graduating at the top of his class with a pre-med degree.

It’s not what he wanted.

He wanted to spend time with family, not the commitment and time it would take to become a doctor and working 80 hours a week in some hospital.

This lifestyle was not moving him in the direction he wanted to go either. After 10 months working 50+ plus hours a week, he only had $2000 saved up in his bank account.

There must be a way a person can make money and still have a life. So he began searching the internet. What he found on the right side of Google, was an ad. It jumped right out at him. It touched his very soul. He was going to get rich in network marketing. Wow, how many times have we been suckered by that ad, or meeting, or TV infomercial?

This was it; he knew this was his calling, his destiny. So for three long grueling years, he used the 3 foot rule and when they weren’t with-in 3 feet, he would move closer.

How many times has your upline told you to use that technique? Surprise, surprise; three years later he was still broke. Not only broke, he was now $20,000 in debt. He bought every program, every course, and every book. Still the magic formula evaded him.

What changed?

During this time he did learn how to think like a millionaire, and he found mentors that were doing what he needed to learn. Once he started following the right people, everything started falling into place.

Like so many others who have struggled, he promised himself that he would find a way to help as many people as possible find their way in this industry. He did this with his partner Norbert Orlewicz. If you’ve been making videos for a while and you get someone on the phone that has seen you, they are amazed that you called them; at that point the sale is made for you. The masters of the video medium are Didi Alcheva and Glenn Arcaro. They have used video to reach Super Star status and massive success.

The result has been awesome monetization and the opportunity to speak at different events across the nation.

There are 4 videos you must use to create a stepping stone to your stardom and success:

1. How to video

These videos are educational. This type of video cements your status as an authority figure in a particular niche. When someone is searching for a solution to their problem, you are the person that can help them when they need it most; they’ll remember that and come back to you again and again. There’s a lot less face time than with other videos and they are very step-by-step. You want to cut to the chase with these videos. Instead of talking about it, show them how to do it. People who buy drills don’t want the drill they want a hole. Don’t sell them the drill, teach them to make the hole.

2. Lead Capture Page Videos 

Capture pages are a place people go to exchange their name and email for something they want. If you have a video on that page it will convert better. Videos are the next best thing to talking to someone in person. This video needs to be short, somewhere around 30 – 40 seconds. Touch on their pain. Tell them you have the solution on the other side of the page and what the benefits to them are. Be specific and tell them to fill out the capture form and press the button to get their solution. Don’t use please. They have the problem, you have the solution, they’re coming to you.

3. Welcome video

Put this on your blog, fan page, on your website. Introduce yourself to the prospect. Just open your arms and say hello, and tell them who you are. Tell them what you have that is useful to them. You can use this video to generate leads and to welcome your prospect. You don’t have to stand above the rest you just have to stand out from the rest. Open yourself up and it will build trust. You don’t want this video to be more than a minute and a half. There’s no reason to have really long videos and in our day and age where people are bombarded with information you want it to be short.

4. A lifestyle branding video

This video incorporates your life and your business. What you’re saying is “Yes I’m in business but I’m also a human being.” This video builds huge trust with your prospects. There’s a slim time slot right now to get your branding videos done and set yourself apart from everyone else. This video is a much longer video than the others. It shows the things you like, how you want to brand yourself, your life. This is a work in progress.

Everything is planning in a video like this. You have to know what you’re going to say, how you want it to look, and what you want it to portray.
Now that you know the four necessary videos here’s a few critical mistakes people make that will sink you faster than never doing videos at all.

1. Poor audio – This is a HUGE mistake. People will put up with poor video but they won’t put up with poor audio. Audio is the most important part of your video. You can get an AZDEN wireless microphone kit for $150 and it works very well. Make sure when you’re filming you have a camera with an external microphone jack.

2. No purpose – If you’re doing a video you need to know who, what, and why. Who – the person you’re speaking to. What – What is the problem and how are you going to solve it. Why – Why are you the best person to solve that problem? Define your niche. You must figure this out before you can go forward.

3. Not optimizing your videos for lead generation and monetization – Why are you doing videos if you aren’t generating these things? Your videos have to be strategically placed because if they’re seen outside of your funnel they may not make sense. Lead your prospect where you want them to go next and allow them to get to know you and your product or service.

Never be afraid to record yourself, just turn on the camera and start recording, you never know when a stroke of genius may hit you and you might as well have the camera on to catch it… IF IT HAPPENS!
