Become the Leader

Norbert Orlewicz was born in Poland. His family escaped just before martial law was instituted. When they immigrated to America his dad only had $100 and didn’t know the language. Norbert learned at a very young age about taking risks, being brave, and doing things others think are crazy.
For 6 years in MLM he struggled and failed. His best month was $160. In 2007 he was at the lowest point of his life. In 7 months he had made only $2000. He had a brand new baby and was near broke. Instead of backing off and going to find a job, he and his wife took all of their savings and invested it in their next business opportunity.
In their first 12 months they made over $2.2 million dollars in revenue. When you can’t fail, you find a way to succeed. They were at the point where they couldn’t afford to fail. Since then they have been helping others succeed through MLSP.
With MLSP their focus has always been on producing leaders.
What are the 5 common things they teach leaders to do?
1. Email auto-responder – Get your OWN auto-responder. Many company sites have an email auto-responder built into them, but you need to have your own. You need the freedom that comes with having your own auto-responder. Leaders do not rely on someone else’s system, website, or email. If a system goes down it could cost you thousands of dollars. If you don’t have your own system then you are relying on someone else to tell you what you can or cannot say or do with your list. You need to own it.
3. Social media presence – Social Media allows you to make friends with people you haven’t met in real life.
4. Valuable pre-sell or opt-in offer – You must have a way to capture leads.
5. Create original content – Make sure you’re consistent. Decide how often you want to do this and stick to it.
The problem with this is it is not EASY. Everyone can do these things, but it’s not easy and it’s not quick. The internet is killing most network marketers businesses. A lot of network marketers are coming online and they are getting overwhelmed by all of the information out there. (see last week’s lesson)
Only two things are needed to be successful; Leads and Profits. Wow, don’t you feel better already, only two things to be successful. Doesn’t that take a load off and what’s really cool is that there are only “4 Pillars” required to attain leads and profits.
We get paid for bringing value to the marketplace. This is the foundation of your business.
Build your value, authentically. The first step is education. Devour everything you can, become a student. You already know a lot, you just need to own that. Understand what you bring to the table and apply what you learn.
Education + Experience = Value
Your value will sell your brand but it must be true to who you are. It can’t be faked. Your brand must instill trust, confidence, and authority with your presence online.
Find people to talk to. If you’re asking: How do I get more leads? You’re asking the wrong question. You’ve heard the answers before. Get your name out there; whatever it takes. Put up signs at busy intersections, put ads on your car, put an ad in the paper, and just talk to people. It takes time but eventually you will have people following you. There’s so many ways and people come up with new ones every day. So instead of asking how, instead ask: Which lead generation strategy should I focus on.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money. Make a decision and do it. Change your question and it changes your entire presence.
People do business with people they know, like, and trust. Start building those relationships. Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Skype, etc. All of these sites allow you to build relationships with people online.
Return on Investment
We all want to be business owners, so be a business owner. How can you maximize the amount of money you’re bringing in for your efforts? If what you are doing isn’t bringing in maximum profits, then do something different. And if it isn’t making you money, Stop Doing It. If you only have one income stream to offer people you’re leaving thousands of dollars on the table. Make sure you have multiple ways of making money and if one dries up it won’t be such a big deal, like getting Google slapped. Just don’t try to start them all at the same time. Get one profitable, then start another, then another.
