recruiting 150x150 Why Is Recruiting Such A Big Deal In MLM?Why Is Recruiting Such A Big Deal In MLM?

Recruit. Recruit! RECRUIT!!!

Every single MLM training call or event you get on MLM is about recruiting!

Training on either…

  • How to generate more leads…so you can recruit.
  • How to talk to people… so you can recruit.
  • How to get referrals…so you can recruit.

They’re all about recruiting!

But none of them say WHY recruiting is so important in MLM.

Especially when every company has the disclaimer “commissions are not paid on recruiting or enrolling.

I know why recruiting is so important and why it is stressed so much.

In MLM we are paid on one thing and one thing only…

THE SALE OF PRODUCTS…

  • From retail to a consumer…
  • As an autoship or marketing materials to an active representative
  • As product or business startup/marketing materials to a new representative

It’s these 3 methods of sales that generate our income as Network Marketers.

MLM training focuses on recruiting because recruiting new reps into your MLM business is the best way to insure repeat sales. Active reps will be on an autoship, which will generate a monthly residual income to you.

There's A Chair Waiting For You On The Beaches Of The World

Residual income is the “live on the beaches of the world” and “time freedom” kind of money that is the biggest dream of network marketers.

Initial sales to new reps (in most companies) also generates the largest commissions and biggest bonuses. This is why even marketers that have a large organization will still often recruit new people. Not only that, but it sets an example of production and gets them qualified for each incentive trip.

Which brings up another question. Why do companies give away incentive trips? Because it produces growth in the company, which brings in new reps, which insures repeat sales, which generates profits from those sales.

But what about the retail sales?

There’s commissions to be made there too, right?

Absolutely! Generally retail sales have a higher commission percentage in a pay plan than commissions from an autoship or sale to a new rep. So why isn’t there as much training available on that?

office Why Is Recruiting Such A Big Deal In MLM?To be quite honest, it’s because most products created by MLM’s aren’t consumed by anyone outside of that company. In other words, if there wasn’t a business opportunity attached to the product then they wouldn’t be buying it.

Plus, retail sales requires a different kind of marketing, and after the sales are completed you start each month at $0. By building an organization within an MLM you start each month knowing that you will make your residual check off of the autoship to the reps in your downline.

But what if you really don’t want to build a downline?

What if you excel at retail sales and you are comfortable with that?

Then you need to be marketing a product that everyone wants, and they want more of it. And they would purchase it whether or not there is an income opportunity attached to it.

I’m currently a rep in an MLM that has a product like that. Where there have been record sales of $67,000 all the way up to $3 million of our product. (Each sale was a ONE TIME purchase,,, not a purchase over a period of time,,, someone ordered that much product all at once)
Has that ever happened in your MLM?
